MSC will make the actual records of your database available online for record lookup, viewing and modification. With this access, you can lookup a record and mark it as a do not mail, or flag the record as a responder, or update the name, address or other information as you learn of corrections.

Data Hygiene

MSC can build in an address correction routine that will validate any changes to the address information are correct and valid. Any errors are highlighted for the user to review and correct. If desired, an override button allows the user to save changes that are not deemed valid. This feature helps to maintain the integrity of the addresses on the database.

Searching

The search screen that allows you to find a record is very user- friendly. You may include partial or complete information in any one of multiple fields to perform the search. If you only know the persons first name is Jane and she lives in Wyoming, simply type Jane in the first name field and WY in the state field and hit the search button. All records that meet the search criteria are listed for you to scan and select the desired record. If too many records meet the search criteria, you have the option of modifying the search criteria to further limit the search. Any fields that you desire can be made available to search on, including name, address, telephone, e-mail, account number, etc.

Data Integrity

MSC can build in many forms of integrity checks on data added or changed online. Account number check digit routines can be programmed in to inform the user if an invalid account number has been entered. Drop down boxes can be used for fields that have a limited number of valid values. You may desire that some fields are available for display only, and not available for modification. Telephone numbers can checked to ensure that the value is completely numeric. E-mail address can be checked for presence of the @ sign, and no embedded spaces. All of these features help to maintain the integrity of the data.

Adds

Another feature is to allow users to add new records to the database. All of the data integrity checks that are in place for changes to existing records will be in place for new record additions.
